After graduating in graphic design at the Utrecht University of the Arts (HKU) in 2011, I started working at animation studio Explanators. As an illustrator I created storyboards for clients like Delta Lloyd and Rabobank. At the same time I also started my own company to be able to work on some more traditional graphic design projects.
At the start of 2016 it was time for the next step and I decided to start working for my own company on a fulltime base. Over the past couple years I worked for newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad and music platform The Daily Indie. At Art and the City I started teaching graphic design courses, which was a long time dream of mine.
Working as a freelancer gave me the opportunity to work in different environments and to learn from other designers with diverse disciplines. Freelancing also gave me the freedom to work from abroad. In November 2016 I left the Netherlands to live in Auckland, New Zealand. Right now, I’m working (a bit closer to home) out of Ghent, Belgium.
So yeah, I think that’s all you need to know. Check out my work. If you like it and you’re in need for a graphic designer please contact me and we’ll have a chat and some coffee.
